Venice Art and Entertainment

Venice’s enchanting community attracts people with a passion for art and history. The Venice Theatre resides in an Italian Renaissance building in downtown Venice. It always has a full calendar of shows and musicals. The Venice community center is home to concerts, seminars, and various social and recreational activities.  It is available for rent and seats up to 1,000 guests. The community center includes a ballroom, commercial-grade kitchen, and private dressing rooms. If you plan to take art classes and love exhibitions, the Venice arts center is the place to be.

Many special events take place in Venice throughout the year. They take place everywhere in Venice. On the beach, on the big parking lot in the center of the downtown area, or on the main street. Centennial Park’s gazebo is a beloved spot for its weekly outdoor concerts every Friday.

Sport and Activities

If you don’t live in a community with many amenities, Sarasota County offers numerous indoor and outdoor activities like pickleball, basketball, bocce ball, or volleyball courts.  You also may find your happy place at the 700-foot Venice Fishing Pier at Brohard Beach if you love to fish instead. The Pier is open 24/7 and doesn’t cost you a dime to fish. Venice is also bike-friendly, with the Legacy Trail stretching from Sarasota to Englewood. The trail has been continually extended in the past and will eventually run from Key West to Canada. But that may take a while.
