Stoneybrook at Palmer Ranch, Sarasota

Don’t get confused with all the Stoneybrook communities. There is a Stoneybrook at Venice and a Stoneybrook Golf & Country Club at Palmer Ranch, which is in Sarasota. The latter is a premier equity-owned country club. 

Stoneybrook is one of three golf course communities located in the Palmer Ranch area. The other two communities are TPC Prestancia and The Oaks Club. The Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club opened in 1994, and it is a member owned golf club with an 18 hole, 72 par, Arthur Hills designed course. Membership to the Stoneybrook Golf Club is, with a few exceptions, mandatory for all homeowners and condo owners. 

Membership is Required

Only the Stoneybrook Arbor Greens condo section does not require a full golf membership with homeownership but social membership is mandatory. There are some more exceptions in the Estates section as well. All memberships are transferrable to tenants, which makes it a lot easier if the owner wants to generate some income. 

A Variety of Different Homes

Stoneybrook has a total of 940 residences. The 940 houses can be divided into 177 single-family homes, 147 villas, 270 condos located in three-story buildings, and a total of 346 verandas, which are large condos with one car enclosed garages and screened-in lanais.

The huge Clubhouse with all the Bells and Whistles

The20,000 square foot clubhouse hosts a heated community pool, lighted Har-Tru tennis courts, and a well-equipped fitness center. A full-service restaurant, banquet facilities, and pro-shop are also inside of the large Clubhouse. The Stoneybrook Club House offers many activities like dancing, Bingo Trivia, Pub Night, Rib Night, Bridge, Euchre, Mahjongg, and many other activities.
