Harbor West is a Boater’s Paradise in a perfect spot in South Gulf Cove. It is the only gated community in South Gulf Cove with newer homes, offering waterfront homes with access to the Gulf of Mexico via Charlotte Harbor. The community has 165 residences, with 90 homes will have a private dock with deep water access. The remaining 75 home sites have Lake views. It is only a short boat drive from Harbor West to Charlotte Harbor. South Gulf Cove has a log system that keeps the water level the same at all times.

The gated community of Harbor West offers a maintenance-free lifestyle with low HOA fees of $266 per month. The Estate Homes with boat docks in your backyard and water access range from 2300 sq. ft to almost 3000 sq. ft under air. The Executive Homes facing the lakes start at 1677 sq. ft up to 3200 sq. ft. The community is built out, and only pre-owned homes are available. If you decide not to have a private boat dock in your backyard, you don’t have to sit high and dry. Many great marinas are nearby and are happy to store and launch your boat.
Harbor West has the closest access to open water with no bridges to the bay.
South Gulf Cove is a tropical paradise far from the city and crowded areas. The newer homes in this peaceful community are upscale and modern. All homes are connected to public water and sewer. The community is built out, and a few vacant lots remain. South Gulf Cove has a park along the water with sidewalks and bike trails. More bike trails are being built.
Shopping and Recreation
You’ve come to the right place if you are an avid biker. The Pioneer Bike Trail runs along South Gulf Cove, and you can even bike to Boca Grande. Enjoy the white sandy beaches and the turquoise water on Boca Grande. The island has a bike path that goes all the way to the southern tip. You can access the Gasparilla Island State Park for sunbathing, swimming, and fishing.
Shopping is just a 15-minute drive to Port Charlotte. You can find a shopping mall, all the big box retailers, and many small shops. Nearby are many waterfront restaurants and tiki bars with live music and great food.
