Golden Gate Point, formerly known as “Cedar Point” when John Ringling bought this piece of land in 1920, is a 22-acre  peninsula located one block from Sarasota Downtown. This 22-acre peninsula is on your left-hand side, shortly before you hit the new Ringling Causeway bridge on your way to Lido Key.

Surprisingly, It took many decades before Golden Gate Point captured the attention of developers. Usually, developers are faster, much faster.  Whatever the reason, for such a long-time nobody, discovered the potential of this little gem. But eventually, it was awakening from a 100-year sleep.

In the 90’s developers eventually noticed that this little peninsular had the potential to become the best waterfront location in Sarasota. The location is just great. Golden Gate Point is located only a few hundred yards east of the Ringling bridge, convenient to downtown restaurants, theaters and Marina Jack’s.  The peninsula is also less than two miles away from St Armand’s Circle and the beautiful beaches. This perfect location provides incredible opportunities because most of the amenities are within walking distance.

Walk to Downtown Sarasota

Walkability is the new keyword. Many people now prefer to be in walking distance to restaurants and other amenities. Does it make sense? Only you can decide by yourself, dear reader.

Extensive landscaping and beautification projects have recently been completed on Golden Gate Point. Now the homeowners and their guests can enjoy an evening stroll on the fresh sidewalks or sit on benches to watch the sunset.  The paver brick roadways and street lamps, combined with the rich landscaping, make this little spot on earth a unique place. A multitude of trees creates an abundance of shade. The shade is definitely most needed during the hot summer months.

Golden GateGrande Riviera is a unique private enclave of 13 luxurious residences located on the tip of Golden Gate Point. Old world Mediterranean design with mesmerizing, panoramic views and private boat dock are the attributes. This exclusive waterfront beauty offers full concierge service and unit sizes up to 3,900 square feet, with four bedrooms.

What else can you expect in those ultra-luxurious La Bellasara and Grande Riviera condominiums? Stunning views are always included, but high ceilings, private elevator foyer entrances, multiple terraces, top of the line kitchen appliances, custom wood cabinetry and granite countertops are included as well. In short: Luxury is obviously standard – not an option.

On the west side of this intimate peninsular are two ultra-modern luxury condominiums complementing the condo scenery on Golden Gate. A new design for living on Sarasota Bay. The Aqua, sarasotaAqua” is an exquisite nine-story building, which offers eight exceptional residences and blends iconic style, elegance, and world-class luxury.
