Downtown Wellen District is beautifully designed around an 80-acre lake and serves as a shopping, dining, and entertainment destination for all ages. It will happen in phases. The Canoe House is a waterfront restaurant with indoor-outdoor seating, a bar, and a lounge for watching the sunsets. A Kayak and paddleboard outfitter with also bikes for rent. There is a 2.8-acre trail around the lake for walking and biking. There will be a splash Pad and Playground for the kids, an event lawn for festivals and celebrations, a Town Hall, and a Hotel.
