Sarasota National - Golf Course and "Lifestyle Community"
The most luxurious Village of them all!
The West Villages is one of the most popular addresses in southern Sarasota County. And the villages are growing fast! Sarasota Nationa, The Preserve, Gran Paradiso, IslandWalk, Renaissance, and Oasis are the names or rapidly growing new communities. along the Tamiami Trail (US 41). There is an area reserved for the new Atlanta Braves Spring Training Home, and there is also space for the future West Villages Town Center.
Grand Palm and Sarasota National are both parts of the West Villages. Are they parts of the 13-year old "West Villages Improvement District " as well? No, they are not. They have the same Venice zip code, though, and the school district is the same for their kids as it is for the kids of the other existing communities.
A Master Planned Community
Sarasota National is a 2,400 acre Master Planned Community. The location of the new community is right between South/East -Venice and North Port. With 1,300 acres of nature preserves, 350 acres of lakes, wetlands and open space, this new Lennar Community is a brilliant place to live. It also appears to be the most upscale community of the West Village Communities. However, that is something everyone has to decide for himself. The former WCI community is approved for a total of 1,584 homes. 800 homes are surrounding the beautiful golf and country club portion of the community.
All homes come in a perfect tropical setting. Each home is wrapped in a lush but beautifully manicured landscaping. Only the homes surrounding the golf course section are required to be members of the golf club. All others need to pay the fee for the social club membership only.
Two Areas - Golf Community and Country Club Community
Homebuyers can choose from single family homes, villas, and carriage homes. All homes will sit in a beautiful sub-tropical surrounding. The grounds are maintained by the community, the wetlands and nature preserves will stay like they are.
Sarasota National is the only community in the West Villages with a golf course. It was actually Gordon Lewis who designed the 18-hole Audubon International Signature Sanctuary certified course. The golf course is, of course, the main feature of the community, however, the list of amenities does not end here. It has a driving range and chipping and putting greens. A well-equipped pro shop is part of golfer's universe as well.
Amenities? Yes, there are quite a few of them
Sarasota Nationals 32,000- square foot clubhouse is the spot of the community where all the social activities take place. "Palm Club", the 13,000 square foot resort-style clubhouse, offers fine dining, a bar and lounge, coffee room, meeting room, and a multipurpose room. Here the club members can meet, chat and relax.
In the fitness center, the community members can work out on state-of-the-art machinery. A cardio fitness area, spa treatment room, group fitness room, and men's and women's locker rooms are also part of that 7,000- square foot building.
Tennis courts, Pickle Ball courts, and Bocce Ball courts are available for those who do not want to get sweaty in the state-of-the-art "torture chamber. The resort-style pool, which belongs to both clubs, has lap lanes, a spa, and beach entry. A poolside tiki bar, an expansive patio, and an 8,000- square foot event lawn are waiting for the club members.
Your furry friend will also be very happy. Why is that? Well, there is a separate dog park waiting for him and his furry fellows.
Golf, Golf, Golf
Golf members enjoy exclusive club membership and dining in their 5,000- square foot Golf Club building. The "19th Hole Bar" and men's and women's locker rooms are also part of the golf club amenities. A pro shop is also waiting. So, step up to the tee and begin a round of golf that will challenge you to use every club you have. Cleverly placed bunkers test the choice of skilled players. However, this course is not meant to entertain only the world champions. The wide and gently sloping fairways inspire the novice players to grow more confident with each game.
Sarasota National offers a variety of homes. They are ranging in size from 1,375 to over 3,100 square feet under air. Plans include Executive, Patio, Manor, and Luxury Estate Homes with two to four bedrooms. The pool is always optional, but with such a great community pool, many homeowners opt out of their own pool.
Carriage and Coach Homes
Carriage Homes are featuring four two-bedroom residences per building. The first-floor residences come with a little over 1,800 square feet under air. The second-floor units enjoy 2,150 square feet under air.
Coach Homes come with six residences per building. Each unit has an open great room floor plan and two bedrooms and two baths. The owners of a coach home enjoy the beautiful water and preserve views.
All homes are unique, and all homes come with a variety of interesting floor plans. And there is also room for customization if you want to build a real “dream home,” a home that makes your friends and family jealous.
Location of the Community
Sarasota National is only a short drive away from the relaxing and pristine beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Manasota Beach, Caspersen Beach, and Brohard Beach are right in front of your doorsteps. Siesta Key is a thirty-minute drive away. Thirty-minutes, is that really asking too much?
The beaches are ideal for any activity ...or inactivity. There is plenty to enjoy – boating, kayaking, fishing, water-skiing or parasailing. However, if you prefer picnics, shell hunting, bird watching or basking in the sun – you can do whatever you want or like.
