She also studied to get her Mortgage Broker license and opened her own Mortgage Business. Karin found it important to assist her international & national customers buying and financing their dream home.
Over the years, Karin gained a lot of local knowledge and professional experience. It goes hand-in-hand with her integrity and positive spirit. She is on top of the game and makes things happen fast. After working in Real Estate for Prudential and Remax, she decided to open her own real estate brokerage with her husband in 2013.

Jan was born and raised in Buesum, a little harbor town on the North Sea. After graduating from High School, Jan joined the German army. Two years later he left the army in the rank of a second lieutenant.
After the military, Jan enrolled in classes at the Teacher Training College/University Kiel to become a Junior High School teacher (grades 5-10 in Germany). After two years he finished the undergraduate studies (English, Biology, and Pedagogy) and decided to go to England for a year.
For one school year, he taught German at two different Comprehensive Schools in Sheffield, England, and learned a lot about country, culture, and people.
After his return from England, he started the graduate studies. Two years later he finished the second step of his education with the First State Examination for “Realschullehrer” (Junior High School Teacher).
After another two years as a trainee teacher, Jan passed the second and final state exam. Unfortunately, there were no teaching positions available at that time, and there was no change in the foreseeable future.
He decided to go a different route. Due to his educational background, Glaxo Pharmaceuticals (GlaxoSmithKline today) hired Jan. After a strenuous six months training, he passed the State Examination required to work as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative in Germany.
The following 15 years Jan worked as a Pharmaceutical/Clinic Sales Representative for Glaxo. In his sales territory, he introduced new prescription drugs and initiated basic and advanced training for practitioners, clinicians, pharmacists and their staff.
In 1998 Jan and his wife got a once in a lifetime opportunity when they received the green card. Two years later, both decided to start all over again in the United States or to be more accurate in Florida.
The first three years, Jan worked as a manager trainee, front desk supervisor and, later maintenance manager for a new resort on Siesta Key. The resort started from scratch with 20 units. When he left, the resort had twice as many apartments
A Swiss Hurricane Shutter hired him as a supervisor and operations manager; after a while, he decided to run his own hurricane shutter business. Although it was a tough market at that time, Jan got his real estate license in the middle of the housing meltdown, but he and his wife managed to stay successful. They had worked for large enterprises like Prudential (today: Berkshire Hathaway) and Remax before they decided that that was not what they wanted. To help homebuyers and sellers better, they started their own real estate business. Bay Breeze International Realty, with Jan as the principal broker, was brought into being and became a successful real estate com
