"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." (Seneca)
Are you looking to buy a home in Venice, Sarasota or Englewood?
Well, buying a home in Florida is exciting. However, it can also be nerve wrecking and time-consuming. If you are looking for a new lifestyle and great outdoor weather, read more about it in our Buyers Road Map.
Once you go this route, you will live in a new community with new neighbors in the end. If you are coming from another state or country the climate will be different, the people, some laws, and some community rule also.
Furthermore, your kids will have to adapt to a new school environment, and they will have to make new friends. The whole process is going to be a complete overhaul of your life, not only a move from one house to another.
Sometimes it can become Overwhelming - or even Confusing
The more choices you have, the more difficult it is to make "the" right decision. It is simply too much information. However, if done right, buying a home doesn't have to be a scary or stressful experiment. It all boils down to "information gathering."
You know the pros and cons of each community? Well, you are already a step closer to your goal. This "Buyers Road Map" will provide more information for the not so seasoned buyer. Having a trusted adviser on your site can make a huge difference - the difference between "failure" or "success."
Why do some home buyers feel so stressed out?
Well, not everybody is stress resistant. Always keep in mind that you do not buy just a house, you buy a Lifestyle. The idea of "accidentally" picking the wrong lifestyle community freaks already a lot of buyers out.
Many home-buyers instantly experience a kind of "buyer's remorse" once the seller excepts the offer. "Is it the right neighborhood? What if we don't like it here? What if our kids don't like it here? Did we get a good deal?"
All these things will pop up in your head. That is absolutely okay. You need to accept it as normal process everybody will go through. Everybody is afraid that a wrong or bad decision can not be easily corrected, and that is even true.
If you bought the wrong property, you could not put it on the market next week. Unless you do not care about a substantial loss that would not be a good idea.
Hire Somebody who looks through a different set of Eyes
To avoid this, you might ask a friend or family member to get a different opinion. Or you might be better off hiring a competent and full-time real estate professional who can explain to you the pros and cons of the chosen community and the property itself.
The BUYER'S REALTOR® (your REALTOR®), although he is later getting paid by the seller, is your representative. If you don't use one, you're at the mercy of the SELLER'S REALTOR®.
Sounds dramatic? Well, look at it this way: If the seller's REALTOR® is the one who is showing you the home and selling it to you, he or she won't be nearly as diligent at pointing out what's not so favorite with the home or the community as a buyer’s agent would be. By law, he can and will not hide material facts he knows.
However, as the listing agent and selling agent (in one person), he wants to make his "seller" a little happier because he got the listing from him. So, you draw the conclusion. Is it better to have a Co-Pilot on board or does it not matter?
